Common side effects observed while medicating with Abacavir sulphate are loss of appetite or trouble sleeping may occur. Inform your doctor if these conditions persist or get worse. There are some serious side effects involved with this medicine which must be informed to the doctor right away if observed such as mental/mood changes etc. Soon after your immune system becomes active, it will fight with infections, this can cause some severe allergic reactions on your body which require immediate medical attention if observed such as unexplained weight loss, severe tiredness, muscle aches/weakness that doesn't go away, headache that are severe or don't go away, joint pain, numbness/tingling of the hands/feet/arms/legs, vision changes, signs of infection (such as fever, chills, swollen lymph nodes, trouble sleeping, non-healing skin sores), nervousness, heat intolerance, fast/pounding/irregular heartbeat, unusual growth in the neck/thyroid known as a goiter, swallowing/moving your eyes, drooping face, paralysis, trouble speaking, symptoms of liver problems (nausea/vomiting that doesn't stop, stomach/abdominal pain, yellowing eyes/skin, dark urine), symptoms of lactic acidosis (such as deep/rapid breathing, drowsiness, nausea/vomiting) etc.
